Tantalus Estate

Tantalus Estate is a family owned vineyard and restaurant set in the heart of Onetangi Valley on Waiheke Island.

Set across 20 acres of vines, olive groves, beehives and restored wetlands, the Estate brings together winery, brewery and restaurant in one place, with a focus on quality, seasonality and site.

The restaurant is one of the few hatted dining experiences on the island, led by Head Chef Axel Curtet Latreille. The menu draws from French foundations, shaped by the Estate and its surroundings, with a focus local produce.

The space is open and considered, designed to sit naturally within the landscape. Surrounded by vineyard rows and native planting, it's a setting that shifts with the seasons but always feels grounded in place.

Alongside the restaurant, guests can explore Tantalus wines at the Cellar Door, or spend time at Alibi Brewers Lounge, the Estate's on site brewery.
