Scottie - Waiheke

Meet Scottie at the Ostend Market on Saturday mornings. Now 93 years old still playing the mandolin banjo, many of yesteryear song favourites. Born in Scotland now residing on Waiheke Island, arriving in New Zealand in his youth he could play 21 instruments and has played in many a band and orchistra. It was just a few years ago he won an award at a local talent show. It took 65 years to do his BA in philosophy, and now spends most of his time thinking about the past.
