Sculpture on the Gulf - Waiheke

A biennial outdoor sculpture exhibition placed along a spectacular two kilometre coastal walkway above Matiatia Harbour, the gateway to Waiheke Island. This outstanding event enhance's the stunning coastal scenery of Waiheke Island and one of the main criteria for the selection of works is their appropriateness for the site, how they fit the landscape, and what visual and physical connection and interaction they have with the environment. Placing them and the public under the sky and beside the sea, in valleys and on headlands creates the unique opportunity to experience the artists’ response to this wonderful landscape.
